2020 Season Update

To the Waterdale community,

Due to the rapidly changing global health and social situation, the Waterdale committee has decided to update their 2020 season. These decisions were made with the health and safety of our cast, production teams, committee and audience members in mind. Please see the changes below:

  • Our annual showcase ‘3rd Wheel’ will be postponed, following Brunswick Mechanics Institute’s decision to close its doors until further notice. As a committee we are currently discussing potential new dates and hope to be able to make an announcement in the near future. Ticket holders will be contacted as soon as possible. We ask for your patience during this time as we organise a plan to move forward.
  • Auditions for our July production of Be More Chill have been cancelled and the season will be postponed until early 2021. We are completely committed to still putting on this production, however believe it would be unwise in the current social climate.
  • On a ‘positive’ note, our September season of Legally Blonde will still be going ahead as planned. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page (‘Waterdale’) and Instagram (@waterdale_au) for more information on Legally Blonde prod team EOI’s and audition information in the upcoming months!

We will continue to monitor the current situation and act accordingly. We hope that our and the wider theatre community stay safe and well during these uncertain times.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The Waterdale Committee
